Citrusdal is a quiet, unspoilt town dating back to the late seventeen hundreds. It is situated 170 km north of Cape Town on the N7, which is also the main route to Namibia. The Village hosts the annual ‘2 valleys and a mountain’ mountain bike challenge, 4x4 and quad bike Festival, Olifants River Canoe challenge and more than one golf tournament. Citrusdal is a nature lover’s paradise offering scenic hikes. Bird watchers are afforded the opportunity of seeing many of the species endemic to the fynbos and Karoo vegetation. During August/September, the valley is covered with the spring flowers and the Olifants River flows right past the town!
